Our Services

At Rising Impact Leaders Group, we serve as a career advisor to early-career and mid-career professionals (what we call rising leaders) in the nonprofit sector.

who we advise

We focus on rising leaders in the nonprofit sector.

Who is a rising leader? Rising leader means early-career and mid-career professionals. We consider anyone who has not yet reached the Vice President title level to be a rising leader.

What kinds of nonprofits? We work with rising leaders who work at 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit organizations. Unfortunately, we currently do not advise rising leaders working at hospitals, colleges or universities, private foundations, or religious institutions. (To avoid potential conflicts, we also don’t advise rising leaders who work with our founder in her Chief Executive day job.)

How it works

Getting career advice directly from an experienced Chief Executive should be as easy and flexible as using ChatGPT. But you deserve career advice that is higher quality and more proven than what Chat offer by being from a real human who brings the actual experience of being a Chief Executive and making decisions at an organization like yours. For career advising to fit into your life, you need the best of both worlds.

We understand the assignment. So, all of our career advising happens asynchronously (“async” - aka not live) - through curriculum and messaging on Slack that can be done on your own time. We’re also making sure it’s a great experience by carefully curating the applicants who are approved to join the Rising Leaders Community, with a focus on ensuring the community is affirming for rising leaders who are part of immigrant, queer and trans, and BIPOC communities.

Check out the process overview below for next steps to learn more, including specifics of what the Rising Impact Leaders Community will provide you with, how the program is structured, and the cost (preview: the cost fits within the professional development budget that most nonprofits provide their staff). Don’t worry - all the next steps are low lift and async, too.
